Following the Georgia Department of Natural Resources guidelines, the deer are contained in a safe, large, natural environment and not roaming freely within the sanctuary.

Can we feed the animals?

NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED TO BE FED TO ANY OF THE ANIMALS. Please do not bring food or offer any of your food to the animals as they are all on diets that best support their current needs. You may purchase feed cups in the Gift Shop to feed the animals in the Petting Yard and during Animal Encounters. There are designated areas where you may enjoy lunch or snacks.

May we pet the animals?

Animals located in the Petting Yard, Barn Yard and Bunny Yards may be pet. We ask that parents closely supervise their children and never leave them unattended. Please remember if you get bit, the animal will have to be euthanized. We hope you enjoy watching our animals and learning about them in a way that keeps everyone safe.
